Charge to Committee: The Planning and Budgeting System (PBS) is the central and collegial process for responding to the challenges and opportunities of the University. The PBS facilitates academic, research, service, and support activities of the University by ensuring full access to relevant information and by providing a rational, clear, and consistent framework for planning and budgeting decisions. Under PBS, wide participation by faculty, staff, students, and administrators takes place at every organizational level. Planning and Budgeting Committees at the responsibility center level and at the departmental/program level coordinate and prioritize their plans and budgets. The aim is to make each department/program and responsibility center planning process as effective and as creative as possible within the constraints imposed by its role within the University.
Schedule: The committee meets at least once a year, as convened by the Dean.
